My First Kiva Loan Was Just Re-Paid

About 2 months ago, thanks to a reminder from Gavin, I made a micro-loan using Kiva, to Vu Thi Tuyet, in Vietnam to buy supplies for her farm. Tonight, I got an e-mail(below) letting me know that she has repaid the investment. That means our money has been spent, she’s covered her costs, and more than made enough profit to better herself off and repay the loan.

This was this lady’s 12th loan, each one growing in size. It’s really great to watch education and capital flow to the people.

You didn’t appear to put up interest rates even once? Yet another trend bucked by wade!
