Re:
“Why to question like a child and not a policeman”.

Anyone with even the slightest knowledge of police questioning methodologies knows that the contents of this particular article contains a plethora of assumptions & mistruths.

Looks very much like this person has gained this knowledge via too many episodes of CSI Miami or The Bill.

Hi Big Galoot,

The methodologies don’t really matter. This article’s not about the facts, it’s trying to point to something beyond the facts. To be in the methodologies is to be caught looking at the finger pointing at the moon. :)

Peace,

Wade

Peace be with you also, Wade.

Interesting logic.

I take your point about going beyond the facts to get to the bigger picture.

My point is, there were very few “facts” to go beyond. And the author’s self-righteous, pompous language about being a consultant & coach & his quasi-religious advice are suggestive of someone purporting to possess a higher level of knowledge.

Further, he was attempting to pass off a fictitious, popular TV culture analogy as a fact. I was merely trying to point out this rather important point.

Its just like the old expression - never let the truth stand in the way of a good story.

Fair enough I suppose. It happens all the time in the press media. It might as well happen on someone’s blog, too.

:-)

BG, it appears you’ve let the story stand in way of the truth. I’m sorry you missed the beauty of this article.

Peace,

Wade

The beauty of the article ?

Creating so-called, wise and meaningful ‘truths’ from a rambling collection of misconceived TV-cop-show-inspired anecdotes is not exactly my idea of beauty, Wade.

But each to their own. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say.

No, I don’t see beauty as you see it, but I do see humour.

And I for one can’t wait to see what the same author will come up with next.

Some wise thoughts inspired by the McGiver TV series perhaps ?

Or an intellectually stimulating, inspirational tome about the meaning of life, motivated by David Hasselhoff’s Bay Watch ?

:- )
