5-10 Goals, Pinged

Nneka at Balanced Life Center pinged me with 5-10 goals. I’m not a normal chain forwarded, everyone says “this time it’s different“. This time, however, it is different.

I’m not sure when I last thought about goals, and I don’t think I’ve ever published them online. So, here in public view are my goals.

1. Work overseas - If you’ve got a job, feel free to leave a comment ;)
2. Continue developing my communication skills - Allowing me to better hear people, as well as expressing and presenting myself more clearly to them.
3. Become a more tolerant, accepting person.
4. Run in the City to Surf(13km). - completing in less then 80 minutes.
5. Continue my sitting practice.
6. Get a tattoo – Don’t tell the folks ;)
7. Reconcile old wounds.
8. Keep myself pointed in life’s positive direction.
~
9. Become an ordained monk - Not something I’m ready to decide on for sure, but working in that direction.

Great goals mate! No, i’m not from Australia, but I wanted to make you feel at home.. ;) You seem like a really free spirit. I thank you for participating, and don’t be shy to come around the site and introduce yourself to the crew.

Hi Wade, thanks for picking up the challenge. If you become a consultant you could hit 1-4 in one fell swoop. Number 9 is really admirable. What do you have to do to become a Buddhist monk?

Are you the same Wade from the Middle Way?

In Spirit,
Nneka

Alex; Thanks for the invite, I’ll be sure to pop in!

Ash; My pleasure :)

Nneka; Consultant isn’t out :) To become ordained you have to practice in a monastery with a teacher until he thinks ‘your ready’ to continue to spread the seed of Dharma. To be ‘ready’ is to become the living dharma, no Ego, Self, Time or other delusions of mind have any impact on you. From what I’ve read, it takes about 8 years to complete. Yes I am the MiddleWay Wade. I thought this post would suit this site better then there :)
