Bisley’s Ad Campaign Turned to Web2.0

Bisley’s advertising campaigns are amazing. The way they deconstruct the image back to their core, to me is simply refreshing. I decided I’d try my hand a doing a few Web2.0 versions. In my travels I found out:-

1)Web2.0 is all about text based, not line based logos
2)Web2.0 is all about white on gradient
3)Web2.0 if else, has a complex vector logo

This to me turned out a far more interesting work then the two I ended up doing (Myspace and Newsvine).

  • The External world is setup using single colours and direct lines to communicate short/sharp/direct messages.
  • The Internet(Web2.0) is using contrasts (two-colours), and curves to communicate. Web2.0 is trying to communicate with a soft, personal tone.
  • Why are there two different method? Is it the medium or the message, or a combination?
  • Cisco and StumbleUpon were on the list to-do, as were Technorati, Digg and del.icio.us. All have met the Web2.0 fate above (except for Cisco which has a custom font — Tricky!).

    So, my two Bisley Web2.0’s
