Next Generation Spam.
I have seen the next generation of Spam, and it’s not very nice! It’s coming to your online mail boxes. You know that curious spam that you click on, just to see what it looks like, or maybe you were suckered in. Anyhow, here you are looking at this image, and low and behold there is a google/msn link to something from it. You look at it and see the two are some how linked (url), and the user actually clicks the spam out of curiosity. Spammers win 3 ways. 1 for what they advertise out, 1 for what they get paid by google, 1 for what they make once on their page if they can con you into it. A whole new revenue market and the Mail providers/creators have no devices in place to stop this kind of spam. It is the merger of the search engine custom content model and spam.
We really need to dig our heals in now and set up some future proof solutions before we lose this war.
