Dyslexia and Google
Being slightly dyslexic(I was diagnosed as a mild dyslexic by a specialist in early high school), for me, thankfully is not life altering or debilitating. I have a few typos here, a few jumbled words there, but that’s the extent of it.
People who are highly dyslexic, or those with disorders can suffer from a whole range of issues (from being unable to read or write to some being unable to walk or speak).
Now here comes Google, a global search engine. People type in words and click on results. Looking through my Google logs, it appears my dyslexia is getting me quite a few Google searches to my site. Spelling Sydney Sydeny for example, gets me more hits then Sydney does.
I am not alone with my mixing, my logs prove this. Catering for typos (IE Sydney and Sydeny) from a Click-Through point of view is an “industry” that will grow with importance. Watch my worsd.
