Holiday Booked
My trip to Asia this year (Vietnam>Laos>Thailand), which is lasting for just over a month was booked last week.
It’s been over a year since I’ve left the country and I’m looking forward to getting out in the big world again. This is my first solo non-work trip, and it’s also the first trip where I’ve needed to get Visas.
I’ve found the Visa process to be rather interesting. I assumed there’d be a world-wide standard. I was wrong. Thinking about it, we still have poverty in some parts of the world, so to have a Visa standard is probably a bit rich.
Vietnam is $72 (must be paid cash/money order/bank chq) and requires 1 photo, takes 6 working days for single entry 1 month
Laos is $45 and requires 2 photos, valid for 30 days single entry and takes 5 working days.
Different costs(due to inflation/economies I guess), Different number of photos, different amount of time to process, valid for different periods of time.
